Commissions
Through commissions, Mr. Tanouye brought us such works as Loki's Revenge, Kokopelli's Dance, and Flutissimo! In 2015, the Las Vegas Philharmonic performed their commission of Desert Flight, an excellent example of the talented music community in Las Vegas joining forces to create new music. Clinician
Appearing as a guest clinician for the University of Wisconsin, University of Hawaii, and the Oahu Band Director's Association, Mr. Tanouye never fails to bring excellence and professionalism to his engagements. Recently, Mr. Tanouye served as the adjudicator for the Clark County School District Regional Solo and Ensemble Competition and the MTNA brass finals.
